The Namesake

I saw a wonderful movie last night … the Namesake. It’s the story of a family from Kolkata (fka Calcutta), their move to the US in the 1970s, their children’s lives, and how things change over a 30 year period. This was a terrific movie — well-acted, funny, all-in-all I give it four and a half out of five samosas. Loved it. Please go see it. (Surprisingly good performance by Kal Penn — the guy who played Kumar in Harold and Kumar.) The mom and dad were outstanding, though.
