Heroes Shmeroes
January 25th, 2007 by mdI was really disappointed with the return of Heroes the other night on NBC. I wasn’t happy to begin with about the lame winter break thing where they took off something like 6 or 8 weeks from the show. But when you’ve been forced to wait like that, I think they need to do a better job of bringing something truly amazing to kick things back off. The episode was only mediocre. Here’s the problem you guys — you spoiled us with a great premise — you set the hook very deeply in our jaws. Now you need to deliver to expectations. No, you have to exceed expectations for making us wait so long. I am hopeful that the Sopranos and Lost return with a bang — both shows are in the same kind of danger as Heroes was. Long break = big expectations to keep the relationship in balance.
