September 9th, 2006 by mdI read yesterday that Stanford’s service employees union approved the new proposed contract by 95% Yes vote. Does it strike anyone else — no pun intended — that the University cleared the bar by a little too much? If I were the union, I would not have released the voting figures. It weakens their position for the future I think. Good for you union negotiators. If I were Stanford parent or bill payer, I might not be thrilled.
